His actual birth date is somewhat of a mystery. He was born in either 1872, 1873, or 1874. The 1900 US Census with his step-father, Willard Mann, and mother provided a birth date of Dec 1874 for Albert. However, his marriage license issued only a month or two later indicated an age of 27 which provided a birth year of 1873. His death certificate provided a birth date of 11 Nov 1872.
