BLOOMDALE - Eleanor L. Rosendale, 85, of Bloomdale, died at 7:38 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. She was born on February 16, 1921 in Hancock County to Wallace A. and Amy E. (Lightfoot) Archer. She married Rolla O. Rosendale on June 18, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1980.

Eleanor was a homemaker and a 1939 graduate of Van Buren High School. She was a member of the Eagleville Church of Christ, Bloomdale Research Club and the Bloomdale Senior Citizens.

She is survived by sons, Wallace O. of Cedar, MI and Ray R. of North Baltimore; a daughter, Mary L. Brumbaugh of North Baltimore; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also preceding her in death were a son, Lawrence E.; brothers, Frank and William; sisters, Lula Metz, Esther Minard, Letha Tavenier and Agnes Fry.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Reverend Dale Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be in Bloom Chapel Cemetery, Bloom Township (Wood County).

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 11-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northwest Region Inc. in her memory. Online condolences may be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
