• His obituary was published in the Unknown newspaper after 18 September 1913.

9 He was a native of Ohio, having been born in Fairfield County, June 29, 1833. At the age of 23 he was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Schwartz. Mr. and Mrs. Eversole were the parents of ten children, all of whom were yet living. Surviving with the aged mother were the children, namely: Thomas Clinton Eversole of Rock Island, Tex.; Mrs. J. B. Small of Nash, Okla.; Mrs. Emma [W. H.] Fritz of Decatur; William Eversole of Vandalia; John P., David, Grant and George Eversole, living near the old home, Mrs. Anna Bare of Lakewood and Mrs. Mattie Hunter, of near Westervelt. Two brothers and two sisters also survived Mr. Eversole, namely: John F. Eversole of Bremen, Ohio; Emanuel Eversole of Iroquois, Ill.; Mrs. Lydia Peters of Lancaster, O., and Mrs. Mattie Tidd of Syracuse, New York. Mr. Eversole had lived in Pickaway Township for nearly 40 years. Later he moved to Ridge Township where he resided at the time of his death. He was a member of the United Evangelical Church. Funeral services were held at Westervelt, Rev. C. P. Maue, officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
