According to a note on the FindAGrave.com memorial page, there was an obituary published in the Shelbyville Democrat on March 1, 1923 for Mrs. Jacob Eversole, stated that she had died at the home of her son, Dave Eversole, Monday [January 23, 1923]. These facts do not reconcile with the official date of death of 26 Feb 1923 which appears on her gravestone and the official death record which was recorded in the database on FamilySearch.org, "Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947".

¹² Katherine Swartz was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Swartz and she was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, March 16, 1834. She married Jacob Eversole in Ohio. To this union ten children were born. Those surviving were Mrs. Jake Small, Neodosha, KS.; Mrs. Emma Fritz, Decatur, Ill.; Mrs. Fred Bare, Bethany, Ill.; Clinton Eversole, Rock Island, Tex.; Mrs. Preston Hunter, Findlay and David, John and Grant Eversole, all living in the vicinity of Westervelt. Mr. Eversole died in 1913. She was also survived by several grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Bruner, living in Ohio and Mrs. Sofia Wagner, Decatur. She was a member of the United Evangelical Church at Westervelt. The services were conducted from the home of her son, Dave Eversole, conducted by Rev. I. E. Holtzman, past of that church. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
