Opal Jane Bower, 82, of Evans, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994, at Jackson General Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Stalnaker Williams. She was a homemaker and attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Surviving are six sons, Forest C. Bower, Jr., of Sullivan, Ohio, Marvin Bower of Ravenswood, Kenneth Bower of Cleveland, Richard Bower of Canton, Jesse Bower and Mitchell Bower, both of Evans; seven daughters, Phyllis Lewis and Sharon Harden, both of Louisville, Ohio, Gloria King and Beverly King, both of Evans, Janet Clark of Ravenswood, Shirley Lieving of Grove City, Ohio, and Roberta Sue Prouty of Johnstown, Ohio; one brother, Alva Williams of Vienna; one sister, Irene Stevens of Lorain, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest C. Bower; one son, Roger Bower; three brothers, Hale Williams, Holly Williams and Albert Williams; and two sisters, Gladys Williams and Millie Dee Holbert.

Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 AM, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with Rev. Orville Walker officiating, and burial to be in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville.
