MOUNT ZION - Willard (Pete) B. Kerby died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at the age of 92. He was a resident of Mount Zion in Calhoun County.

He was born July 21, 1911, in Calhoun County to George Kerby and Eva Gainer Kerby.

He was retired from the South Eastern Gas Co. as a superintendent. He worked the oil and gas fields of the area all his life. He was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church. He was a founding member of the Lemuels Run Hunting Club.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Stump Kerby.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Rick Swearingen will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Grantsville. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
