Joseph's name appears on the large HOBLIT family pedestal monument that was erected by the family. It shows his name below the names of his parents and under the heading of "Their Children" and reads "Joseph L., 1921 - 1986". His original gravestone is a cubic flat top marker of gray granite approximately 24" wide and 12" tall. The inscription reads "Joseph L. Hoblit, 1921 - 1986".
