² Douglas C. Renton, 58, of Rockford died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in his home. Born May 29, 1949, in Rockford, son of Donald C. and Evelyn M. Bogenrief Renton. He was a retired plumber from Local 23. Doug loved NASCAR and traveled with them and ESPN and he loved his Fords.

Survivors include sister, Darlene (Steve) Myers of Roscoe; sons, Donald C. (Mikhaele) Renton, Chad D. Renton and Jason J. (Amanda) Renton, all of Rockford and Joe and Theresa Weber of Rockford; grandchildren, Andrew, Cody, Madison, Taylor, Morgan, Drake, Dawson and Dylan; special niece, Lori and Rodney and family; special friend, Sandy; ex-wife, Charyl; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, in Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home; Dr. Melvin Swanson, pastor of Berean Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
