David and Mehetable had four sons and four daughters. Several of these died as children all in the same month of the same year. Could it have been Small Pox or Typhoid ? Two of his sons, Abraham and Ephraim went "Westward" to settle in Packardville Enfield, Mass. . Captain David Packard III, died of Small Pox in 1786 at the age of 44, probably in North Bridgewater, Mass.
