On 24 Oct 1860, William married Jeannette Renton of Van Buren, Wayne, Michigan. Jeannette Renton Savage was born in Scotland 17 Feb 1830. She came to Michigan with her parents Andrew and Agnes Renton in 1853. Agnes Renton died 1854, aged 52. Andrew Renton died 1877, aged 81. Mr. and Mrs. Savage have three children: William O., born 16 July 1861; James J., born 11 Oct, 1862, and Frank W., born 11 Jan 1865. Mr. Savage farms 113 acres.
