• His obituary was published on 13 November 1978 in Louisiana, IL. 6 Services for Lester Lee Elliott 83, of 311 South Fifth St., Louisiana, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Edwin Hampton will officiate, and Mr. Elliott will be buried in Fairview Cemetery on Highway 79 north of Louisiana.

Mr. Elliott died in his sleep Sunday morning, Nov. 12, 1978, at his home some time between 2 and 7 a.m.

He was born April 15, 1895 at Pleasant Hill, Ill., the son of Jacob Thomas and Lula Robinson Elliott. He was married to Lillie Cecil Charlton, Jan. 27, 1914. Mr. Elliott was a farmer most of his adult life. He was employed by Stark Bro's Nurseries for about 20 years until he retired in 1969. He moved with his family to Louisiana in 1932.
He is survived by his wife, seven sons, Clyde Thomas Elliott, Milo Elliott, Lloyd Elliott, Lester Elliott and Leo Elliott of Louisiana, Floyd Elliott of New London, Harold Elliott of Walnut Grove, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. John (Ethel) Holman, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Martin and Mrs. Bennie (Geraldine) Sloan, all of Louisiana, Mrs. William (Hilda) Penrod of Geneseo, Ill., Mrs. Jim (Martha) Peavy of Davenport, Iowa, Mrs. Lula Wright of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Belle) Craft of Louisiana and Mrs. Artie (Marjorie) Eckert of Clarksville; 45 grandchildren; and 69 great grandchildren.

A son, Russell Elliott, died in1975. A brother, Carl Elliott, died in 1939; and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Eveland, died in 1947.

Visitation at the Collier Funeral Home started after 2 p.m. today.
