Just over two years before she officially married Richard Baker, Vera Glawe had a stillborn son on 4 Dec 1922 in Rockford. I don't know if the actual death certificate from Illinois lists the name of the father or not. Vera would have been about 16 years old at the time.

It would seem that the marriage between Richard Baker and his 1st wife, Vera Glawe, did not last long. The 1930 US Census of Rockford, Illinois shows Richard living with a 2nd wife named Doris who was born in Wisconsin about 1907. The census also indicates that Doris had been married for only 1 year but that Richard was married 5 years ago, no doubt to his 1st wife, Vera B. Glawe. There are no records indicating whatever happened to Vera, whether she was divorced or whether she died young.
