• His obituary was published in The Zanesville Signal on 24 June 1934 in Zanesville, OH.

1 Funeral services for Dayle Johnson, 15, son of Mrs. Louis Bowers near Sonora, will be held Monday afternoon at Salem M. E. church, of which he was a member. The cortege will leave the home at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Greenwood. The youth died late Friday at Bethesda hospital after an operation for appendicitis. He was a member of Adamsville 4-H club. Surviving are his mother and two brothers, Donald and Byron, of the home. The body was taken to the residence Saturday evening from the Shirer funeral home, Adamsville.
