• His obituary was published on 2 May 2013. 2 John Jacob Look, 82, of Butler passed away peacefully Tuesday evening.

He was born in Harrisburg and was a son of the late John S. Look and Arvilla Cook Look.

John served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He had been a funeral director since 1978 with the Young Funeral Home. John also had served as first deputy coroner of Butler County for many years.

He belonged to the Syria Shrine Legion of Honor and the Drill, Drum, and Bugle Corps, Syria Caravan 14, the National Funeral Directors Association, the Masonic Victory Lodge 694, the Law Enforcement Officers Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars 279 and the New Castle Consistory. He belonged to the First United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, and to the Wesley Sunday School class.

John was passionate about golf, football, bowling, baseball and wrestling. He loved meeting and getting to know new people from all walks of life. He will be remembered as a bright light to his family and all who knew him. The best part of his life was spending time with his family, cruising, collecting National Park passport cancellations and holiday celebrations.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Lash Look; his four daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Dave Fecich, Susan and Robert Young, Lori and Scott Pavlik, Lisa and Mark Hall; seven granddaughters, four grandsons and four grandsons-in-laws, Christina and Albert Reed, Jillian Fecich, John Fecich, Alaina and Matt Brouse, Daniel Young, Bryant Young, Alisa and Doug Stuck, Jessica and Steve Lewandowski, Rebecca Hall, Mark Hall, Melissa Hall; four great-grandchildren, Shawn and Tyler Lewandowski, Samantha Reed and Aloria Stuck; a sister and brother-in-law, Annabelle and George Case; a brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Mary Lash; a niece, Sharon Simpson; and two nephews, George Case and Daniel Lash.

Visitation for John Jacob Look, who passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, will be from 1 until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Young Funeral Home, Butler. Masonic and military honors immediately before the service. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
