Event Type: Divorce
Event Date: 7 Aug 1920
Event Place: Pueblo, Colorado, United States
Event Place: Pueblo, Colorado, United States
Marriage Date: 27 Oct 1894
Marriage Year: 1894
Spouse's Name: William Stobbart
Court Docket Number: 13231
--------------------------------

Almira was the plaintiff in this divorce proceeding. What is interesting about this divorce record is that it says "Wife's Mainden Name if resumed under decree: Hazel Markart". For some reason, she did not want to use her actual maiden name of Wilson and preferred the married name from her first husband, Markart. By this time in her life, she also preferred the given name of Hazel instead of Almira.

The marriage record book shows Almira's name was entered with her maiden name of Wilson even though she indicated that this was to be her 2nd marriage. It appears that her first husband, Markert, died sometime in 1894 and Almira was remarried to John Stobbart in October 1894.
