Almira married Markert before 1886. (Markert was born in 1865 and died in 1894.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

Their son, Edwin John Markert, appears on the 1920 US Census in Pueblo, CO with his mother, Almira, living with his family. That census provides a birth year of 1886 for Edwin which means Almira and her husband, were married "before 1886". No record of the marriage has yet been found and it is not known if it occurred in Iowa or Missouri although Edwin was born in Clark County, Missouri.

At least one researcher provides a death date for the husband of 1894 but provides no source citations. Almira was remarried in Oct 1894 in Illinois to John William Stobbart.

Event Place: Pueblo, Colorado, United States
Marriage Date: 27 Oct 1894
Marriage Year: 1894
Spouse's Name: William Stobbart
Court Docket Number: 13231
--------------------------------

Almira was the plaintiff in this divorce proceeding. What is interesting about this divorce record is that it says "Wife's Mainden Name if resumed under decree: Hazel Markart". For some reason, she did not want to use her actual maiden name of Wilson and preferred the married name from her first husband, Markart. By this time in her life, she also preferred the given name of Hazel instead of Almira.
