General Notes:
Some census records indicate that Hester was born in Pennsylvania while others indicate Ohio. The 1870 US Census indicates Illinois.
The 1850 US Census shows Hester still living at home with her parents but other records show the marriage of Hettie Halferty to Daniel Wilson in 1847. By 1850, this Hettie Wilson had given birth to 2 children. Was she enumerated twice?

The 1870 US Census shows Hattie living with her children in Lee County, Iowa. The head of the household is shown as "W. G. Wilson", age 32 and there is no mention of Hattie's husband, Daniel Wilson.
I can find no record of who this W. G. Wilson might be. But by the 1880 US Census, the entire family shows up all together in Des Moines Township, Clark County, Missouri. Perhaps during the time of the 1870 enumeration, Daniel Wilson might have gone ahead to Missouri to prepare a homesite for the family and enlisted a relative, W. G. Wilson, to live with and watch over his family.

Hester's final death location and burial are not known with any certainty. At least one researcher on Ancestry.com indicates that she died on 25 Jul 1916 but no location was given nor were any source citations. Her last census was in 1910 in Kiowa County, Colorado where she was living with one of her daughters who was widowed.
