4 5 Hattie Holmes King was born September 3rd, 1879 and departed this life April 16th, 1902 after five weeks of intense suffering from fatal burns received in the Rader fire near Piedmont March 12, 1902.

She was united in marriage to Silas H. King October 6th, 1899. To this union was born a son, who died from burns March 22nd, 1902.

She bore her great pain and suffering with a gentle, patient, trusting spirit until God chose to call her from this world of pain and distress. He remains were lain to rest by her child in Piedmont cemetery.

The departed one leaves a husband, father, mother, and six brothers and sisters. We known dear darling sister that our loss is thy spirit's gain.
