Levi next married Wilhelmina Masden, daughter of William Masden and Sarah Enyeart, on 10 April 1853 in , Richland County, OH.1 3 4 (Wilhelmina Masden was born about 1821 in Ohio and died on 10 February 1854 in , Richland County, OH 3.)

bullet  Noted events in their marriage were:

Charles Hartman...StepSon..12..OH
Clarence O. Wass..Son..4..IN
Levi Brantner..Father-in-Law..64..MD..Retired Carpenter
Jonas Brantner..Cousin..19..CO

This census record could be very confusing without actually knowing about the previous marriages of John Wass Izamba Brantner. Jessie and Charles Hartman are both listed as step children of John's so one would naturally assume that their mother must be John's current wife, Izamba, and that her previous married name was Izamba Hartman. Clarence Wass must have been a child born to John and Izamba but strangely it shows the birth location of Clarence's mother as Indiana where Izamba's birth location is shown as OH. Hopefully this is merely a clerical error otherwise there may have been other wives involved here.
