Several other researchers are showing her birth date as December 25, 1858 but without any source citations as to where this date came from. If the gravestone clearly reads that her age at time of death was 28y 5m 25d, then using the generally accepted death date of June 19, 1886, the birth date calculates to 1857 instead of the erroneous date of 1858. Obviously many are merely copying the same mistaken date over and over. (Brian L. Lightfoot)
I personally visited her grave site in September of 2002 and it appeared to me that her death date was "June 10, 1896", however, the numbers are badly weathered and the date could possibly be June 19, 1886 instead as suggested by several other sources. The book "Cemetery Inscriptions, Marshall County" on page 8 lists her death date as June 10, 1896 and that she aged 28 years, 5 months, and 25 days. It also has a note that the inscription is also listed in "Early Parks Cemetery, Bourbon Township, page 11 with a different death date as June 19, 1886. The Marshall County Republican newspaper in their issue of June 24, 1886 states that Mrs. Mary Gantz, of Bourbon, died June 19, 1886. (Brian L. Lightfoot)

Mary married Franklin Ruhl Gantz, son of John Lightfoot Gantz and Margaret Rule, on 26 January 1882 in Bourbon, IN.1 (Franklin Ruhl Gantz was born on 12 July 1857 in North Woodbury, OH,6 7 8 died on 17 August 1939 in Walnut Township, Marshall County, IN 8 and was buried after 17 August 1939 in , Marshall County, IN 8.)
