Ernest Lee Kirkman born in Ottokee, Ohio. Lived in Brailey, Ohio where he built a house for his family. Later moved outside of Brailey on a farm formerly owned by Eggleson's or Eggleston's. Later sold the farm and moved to Wauseon, Ohio. There he worked at a high school, grist mill, and Condensery (Pet Foods, Inc.) He later worked in Toledo as a boiler operator and had a license as a "stationary engineer".
