NOTE - If her birth date was 8 May 1830, then her age should have been 20 instead of 26. The digit "6" written on the form could possibly be interpreted as a "0" which would be the correct age. Also, if she actually were 26 years old, that would have meant an eight year gap to the next youngest child which seems excessive.

But Caroline was supposedly married to Aaron Beery in 1849 and by the time of this 1850 census, she had a 6 month old daughter. Maybe she was temporarily staying with her parents in August for this census enumeration and one month later in September was enumerated again as living with her husband and daughter.

• Her obituary was published in the Rochester Sentinel on 7 November 1918 in Rochester, IN.

7 Mrs. Caroline Beery, 88, widow of the late Henry Beery, and for more than 50 years a resident of Fulton county, died Thursday at 4:00 a.m. at the home of her son, Corwin Beery, four miles west of Rochester, after an illness of two years duration. Death was caused by dropsy.

There survive five children: Charles, Stillwater, Okla.; Mrs. Ella Berrier, Burton neighborhood; Frank, Leiters Ford; Corwin, west of Rochester and Mrs. Loretta Neff, near Kewanna and six sisters, Mrs. [Catherine] Chas. Jackson, Rochester; Mrs. [Martha] Chas. A. Bates, New York; Mrs. [Maria] Samuel Keeley, Rochester; Mrs. [Melissa] Andrew Davidson, Sioux City, IA.; Mrs. Cordelia Nafe, Muskegon, Mich., and Mrs. Cyrentia Nafe, Peru.

Funeral arrangements later.
