Per his wishes a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. The Runge Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Harold was born July 22, 1920 in Iowa, the son of Fred E. and Elizabeth Wymer Stratton. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Wigant on June 14, 1946 in Davenport, she preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Harold retired from Frenh and Hecht after thirty years of service.

He belonged to the Hawkeye Swingin Wheels, a camping, and Square dancing club. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Candis Tompkins of Wagoner OK, a grandson, Dean Tompkins, a granddaughter, Tina Roberson, and their families, all of Oklahoma, a sister, Betty Stinson, Muscatine, and her companion Patricia Parriss and family, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, James, Gerald "Boots", Fred, "Burk" and Raymond Stratton, and five sisters Viola, Mildred, Frieda, Vera, and Romell.
