• Her obituary was published in December 1994 in Vinita, OK. 4 Ruby Mildred Harp, 80-year old Delaware resident, died late Tuesday night, Dec. 6, 1994 at the Green Country Care Center in Tulsa.

She was born Feb. 7, 1914, at Kelso, Okla., to Sydney Raymond and Louise Rudisell Lightfoot.

She grew up at Kelso in Craig County and received her education in the Kelso schools.

She married Milford B. Harp on Dec. 5, 1936, in Vinita.

The couple lived in Big Cabin where Mr. Harp taught and was principal of Delaware High School.

She was a homemaker while her children were growing up. After her family was raised, she worked at the Delaware Post Office until her retirement.

She was a long-time member of the First Methodist Church in Delaware.

She was preceded in death by her husband May 20, 1988.

She is survived by one son, Milford B. Harp, Jr. of Naperville, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Ron (Sally) Scott of Claremore; one brother, Robert Lightfoot, of Vinita; one sister, Edna White of Hillister, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel in Nowata, on Saturday, Dec. 10, 1994 at 10 a.m., with Sister Shirley Randall officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.

Arrangements are by the Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
