Jacob Aaron Koblentz ^{1 2}

  General Notes:

The 1880 Census of Ohio shows one "Jacob Koblentz" in Berlin Township of Holmes, not Meigs County where he was born. Holmes County is about 200 miles north of Meigs County. This is the wrong Jacob Koblentz.

Within Meigs County, Ohio, the 1880 Census lists a John Koblentz in Pomeroy Township Ward 2 and a Phillip Koblentz in Chester Township.

• He was buried after 11 March 1939 in the Masonic Cemetery in Tipton, IA.

Jacob and his wife, Ida, share one vertical face rose colored monument marker that has the word KOBLENTZ in large block letters across the top. Below it and on the left side it reads "Ida M., 1871-1954, Mother" and on the right, "Jacob, 1860-1939, Father". Yvonne Linn says he died on March 11, 1938, however the inscription on the gravestone reads 1939.
