⁹ Mrs. Ivy Linn Rites are Today

Funeral services for Mrs. Ivy L. Linn, 82, will be held at the Sheets and Son funeral home March 8 with the Rev. Glen Parrott officiating. Burial is in the Pee Dee cemetery near Springdale.

Mrs. Linn died at a West Branch nursing home March 5. Pallbearers are Ernest Werling, Max Crawford, Ronald Luikart, Roger Purviance, Arnold Hennings, Claire Gardner; Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

A daughter of Jacob and Ida Christy Koblentz, she was born July 15, 1890 at Chester, Ohio. She was educated in the rural Meigs county Ohio schools. She had lived in the Tipton area for 70 years.
Ivy Koblentz married John W. Linn Sept. 23, 1908, at Tipton. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah Lodge No. 517 of Tipton.

Survivors include 3 sons, Clarence and Robert Linn, Tipton and William Linn, Muscatine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Andrew(Alice)Vokl, Ocala, Fla., and Mrs. Lawrence(Lucille)Ford, Tipton; 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Pearl Koblentz of Chester, Ohio; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Eva Biggs, Mrs. Mable Fulweider and Ruby Schilling, all of Tipton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one great-granddaughter.

John and Ivy share a common gravestone that is a light reddish granite flat stone approximately 36" X 18" and about 10" thick. The inscription has the name Linn in large letters along the top row. On her side of the stone it reads "Ivy 1890 - 1973."
