2 George Walker, son of Israel and Hannah Walker, was born near Albion Dec. 1, 1850, and died at his home north of Ligonier, Nov. 29, 1928, age 77 years, 11 months and 8 days. His entire life was spent in Noble County. His young childhood and manhood was spent near Albion until he located 40 years ago on the farm which was his home at the time of his death. He married Sarah Ann Lepird March 13, 1879. They had 2 children, Vada May and Edna. His wife died just 26 days previous to his death. Vada May died in infancy; father, mother; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Marshall and Mrs. Alice Rule, preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Edna, wife of Theodore Spurgeon; 3 brothers, Cornelius of Albion, John of Wawaka, and Charles of Garrett, Ind.
