bullet  General Notes:

Both Wattie and Arthur are listed by several researchers as twins. However, the birth records from Calhoun County, WV show only a single birth on 20 Sep 1889 and the male child was unnamed at the time of the birth. The definitely were two different persons because each appears separately in the 1900 census. It may be possible that they are NOT twins and one of them may have been born a year or two earlier. The next earliest birth was Roscoe Smith born in 1886.
