Mrs. KATIE DARNER, 92, of 1404 Oak Hill Avenue, widow of C. Edwin Darner, died Thursday after an illness of one week. Born and reared in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Anna Miller Foltz.

She was a lifelong member of Christ Reformed Church and the Mary Martha Class of the Sunday School.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Gordon, Greensburg, Pa.; son, Dr. Henry L. Darner, Washington, DC; sisters, Mrs. Charles E. Plack and Mrs. Emma L. Benner, both of Hagerstown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Rouzer Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Katie married Calvin Edmonds Darner, son of Henry Josephus Darner and Mary Margaret Edmonds, on 7 October 1893.¹ (Calvin Edmonds Darner was born in 1872 in Burkittsville, MD,² died on 19 April 1937 in Hagerstown, MD and was buried after 19 April 1937.)
