A BIOGRAPHY OF MARY ELIZABETH PLICE FAST, by Larry Overmire, Aug. 2008:

Mary Elizabeth Plice Fast was born abt. 1824 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of German immigrants Jacob Frederick and Mary B. Plice. She married Jacob Fast 7 Sep 1848 in Ashland County, Ohio. She gave birth to four children: Irena T., Joseph E., Mary S., and Samuel Curtis (who died in childhood). She died on 16 Mar 1862, at the age of only 38 and was buried in Polk Cemetery.
