"Dad and Mom lived in Helena, AR and moved to Cherokee Village, AR. Dad had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He had to drive back and forth to Memphis, TN for treatment. My sister, Joan, lived in Horn Lake, MS which is not too far from Memphis. Dad and Mom were staying with Joan during his treatment times, yet their home was in Cherokee Village. While receiving chemotherapy, he got very sick and weak. He was at my sister's home when he died. He knew that he did not have much time left and he requested to be buried at Batesville. This is where I live. My father-in-law was a friend of Dad's. My father-in-law passed away and was buried in Weaver's Chapel Cemetery, 2 years before Dad died. Dad liked the place where My father-in-law was buried and wanted to buried there, near my father-in-law. " ----------------------------------------
