Andrew received $100 from his father and he and Hannah moved to Ohio in 1810. He paid a deposit on 1 Jun 1811 at (anesvikke ?) to show his intention to enter the northeast quarter of section two, township one, range six, of the un-appropriated US Govt Military Lands. He also was listed in Columbiana County by a War of 1812 Ohio Militia list. He received the patent on a 166 acre tract in Muskingum County in 1813, and established their homestead in Perry County.
