• His obituary was published in December 1925 in Ashland County, OH. ¹⁰ Dr. O. B. Richards, Ashland county's oldest physician died Thursday at 6 P.M. at his home in Nova.

He was born in Orange Twp. April 9, 1849 and passed away at the age of 76 years.

Dr. Richards was one of a family of twelve children of Samuel and Rachael (Bowman) Richards. Only one of the children of the family now survives, J. C. Richards of Nova. In March 1874 Dr. Richards was united in marriage with Sarah I. Ricket.

Dr. Richards was highly regarded in his profession and had engaged in the active practice of medicine for 51 years and was a resident of Ashland county all his life. In March 1924 Dr. and Mrs. Richards celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and received congratulations from their many friends.

Dr. Richards leaves to mourn their loss his wife Mrs. Sarah Richards, two sons, J. O. Richards of New London and E. S. Richards of Nova, also four grandsons and one brother, J. C. Richards of Nova.
