General Notes:
Was Jason Bowman Richards really a child of Samuel Richards and Rachel Bowman? His name does not appear on the 1850 US Census when he would have been about 12 years old. There is the name of a 12 year old daughter named Susan instead. I'm wondering if the other son, John J. Richards, was not really named John Jason Richards, thus the confusion that there might have been an additional son. (Brian L. Lightfoot)
