Believed to have been killed in the Newburg Coal Mines explosion in January 1886.

List of 39 coal miners who were killed at the Orrel Coal Company mine in Newburg, two of which were Jacob H. Weaver and a brother John Alvis Weaver, both of Independence, WV. Jacob leaving a Wife and five children. (all Unnamed).
