• His obituary was published in the Findlay (Ohio) Courier on 6 December 2004.

Harry Dangler, Jr., age 80, passed away on December 4, 2004 at 6:40 a. m. at his residence in Findlay. He was born to Harry and Opal (Fast) Dangler on September 9, 1924 in Haviland, Ohio. He married Georgiana "Ann" Huffman on August 14, 1948 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons: Robert D. Dangler of Brecksville, Ohio and Stephen C. (Mary Beth) Dangler of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons, David and Mark Dangler; and two granddaughters, Erin and Sara Dangler. Preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters: Ruth Stahlman, Helen Gunderman, and Mary Lou Miller. Harry retired from the US Navy after twenty years of service and was then involved with education. He was with the Lorain School System for three years and then retired after seventeen years as a director with Lorain County Community College. He resided in Lorain, Ohio for thirty years before moving to Findlay in 1988, where he lived for sixteen years.
Harry was a member of Black River Masonic Lodge #786 in Lorain, Ohio; a member of Masonic Scottish Rite Consistory in the Valley, Cleveland, Ohio; a member of Cleveland Business Managers Association; was a member of Kiwanis Club in Lorain; a member of the Lorain Youth Center; a member of the United Way Board in Lorain; a member of the State of Ohio College Purchasing Association; a member of Wally Byam Caravan Club; a member of Saint Andrews Methodist Church; a member of Wesley Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Todd E. Frail officiating. Interment will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Allen Township. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840 in his memory.
