Mahala's gravestone is a short column type monument of gray sandstone which sits on top of a gray granite base. The base has the name SHEETS carved in relief. The inscription on the top face of the column reads "Mahala, wife of J. Sheets, Born Sept. 11, 1832, Died Dec 13, 1903. Aged 71y 3m 1d".
