  General Notes:

For some reason, Lawrence adopted at an early age the spelling of his surname as Faust instead of the more commonly used Fast which was used by his parents and all of his siblings. His own children all used the Faust surname as well. His gravestone has the Faust surname even though he is buried in the same Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont, WV as many of his close relatives. However, his death certificate has the surname as Fast.
