In the War of 1812, he served as a private in Captain Willoughby Morgan's Second Company, 12th U.S. Regulars. To him there was granted on 6 Nov 1834, from the Commonwealth of Virginia, a tract of land containing 100 acres, lying on Long Drain, a branch of Prickett's Creek, now in Marion County, West Virginia. Adam Fast's will was made on 27 May 1855, and was probated 3 Jun 1856.
