NOTE - John Fast was apparently living with the Miller family that seems to be made up of children from two or more Miller families. The supposed parents of Elizabeth Miller (shown as age 21 on this census) are not found on this 1850 census. Instead a Francis Miller, 24, was listed first and is assumed to be the "head of household". There was also listed a Gracy Miller who was much older than the others at age 45. Elizabeth Miller, 21, was listed after all the other Miller children which could indicate that she came from a different family.

The supposed marriage date of April 1850 between John Fast and Elizabeth Miller would be much in question based on the fact that as of July 1850, Elizabeth was still shown with her maiden name and her name was listed before that of John Fast instead of immediately after it which was the expected custom of the day.

If John's birth date was 10 Jul 1828, then his age should have been 21 instead of 25.

The cause of her death was Pneumonia.⁷
