   Another name for Cadarina was Anna Catharina Dörner.⁵

  General Notes:

There is much debate or confusion about the name of the wife of Johann Nicklaus Fast with most researchers giving the name as either Catherina Margaretha Dörner (Darner or Danner) or Anna Catherina Dörner. Catherina was the daughter of Peter and Barbara Dörner while Anna Catherina Dörner was the daughter of Bernhard and Catharina Dörner.

A recent message on a genealogy board stated the following:
"Johann Nicklaus Fast was married to Anna Catharina Dorner, daughter of Bernhard and Catharina Dorner of Ilbesheim, Duchy of Zweibrucken, Pfalz, Germany, Duchy of Zweibrucken. Robert G. Fast documented and devoted the 10 pages of chapter 2 in his book "Nicklaus Fast of Göcklingen, Germany" (1994) to her. He documents his research and quotes other sources, the main one being an article from the magazine, The Dutchman, 1956, written by Dr. Friedrich Krebs entitled Pennsylvania Dutch Pioneers. The information is far too long to quote here. Robert's book is still available to purchase."

There is some confusion regarding Cadarina's birth date. Her grave marker indicates 1729 while birth and christening records in Ilbesheim, Zweibrücken, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany indicate 1724 (see Robert G. Fast, "Nicklaus Fast of Göcklingen, Germany", 1994, p. 15-16.)
