NOTE - The given name is very difficult to read but the gender is given as male. The age could be read as 14 or as 17. If the age were interpreted as 14, then it does not match that thought to be the correct birth date of David Kinney Girton but then his age would be out of sequence on the census anyhow. If his correct birth date was 13 May 1852, then his age should have been 18 instead of 14 or 17.

I believe that a simple answer to the incorrect age can probably be explained by the enumerator mixing up the ages for David and his brother Hudson, whose age was given as 17 but should have been 14.
