It is strange that the parents named two of their sons, George. The county birth record for the first George born in 1880 actually shows a given name of Charles which is also the name for the last son of the parents. That county record showing the name Charles may actually be a transcription error; it is not know for sure. The documents from his early years seem to show the name of Victor but documents later on show the name as G. Victor Sowers.
