Marriage Notes:
No marriage record has yet been found. On the 1900 US Census, they indicated that they had been married for 29 years which would place the marriage about 1871. On the 1910 US Census they indicated that they had been married for 34 years which would place the marriage about 1876.
Their first daughter was born 25 Sep 1869. But on the 1870 US Census, Roswell Scott was boarding with the Ezra Rose family (the father of Henrietta) and he was listed as a farm laborer. There was no mention of Henrietta in the 1870 census when she would have been about 18 years old.
A few researchers show a marriage date in 1873 but none provide a source citation for that info.
