  General Notes:

There is an entry in the Eaton County, Michigan Register of Deaths on page 138 for "Edward Fast, age 1 year, 3 months" who died on 25 Jan 1871. These dates and ages would seem to fit this Edward however he appears with his family in the 1880 census so it cannot be the same Edward. There is no information in the Eaton County Death Register to indicate the parentage.
