9 Rites Tuesday For Traffic Victim, 90

Valparaiso's first traffic fatality in 21 months was recorded this weekend when a 90-year-old Hebron man died of injuries suffered Sept 13 in a four-car- collision at Chicago and Michigan streets.

Charles B. Lightfoot of 406 Main St, died Friday night at Porter Memorial Hospital of massive internal injuries, Coroner Leonard Wetmore said.

Services for Lightfoot will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Hebron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren L. Lear officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.

Friends may call at Clark Funeral Chapel, Hebron, from 7 to 9 PM today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 PM today at the funeral home by Hebron Lodge 502 F&AM of which Lightfoot was a 50-year member.

He was born April 19, 1883 in Indiana. On April 12, 1905 in Hebron, he married Margaret Bryant, who preceded him in death Aug 3, 1960.

Lightfoot was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church and the Scottish Rite of South Bend. A Hebron resident since 1912, he was a retired barber. Lightfoot had been engaged in the restaurant business, a taxi service, delivered milk and was a school bus driver.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Margaret) Osby of Hebron, and three grandchildren all of Hebron.
