His second wife was born in Kansas so it is probable that following his divorce from his first wife, he ended up in Kansas where he met and probably married his 2nd wife.

Archie and his first wife, Helen, must have divorced sometime after their last child was born in about 1951. Helen apparently remained in Missouri until her death in 1994. In the meanwhile, Archie must have moved westward into Idaho. He died in 1984 and is buried in Parma, ID. He apparently was remarried to Mary whose name appears on their common gravestone in the Lower Boise Cemetery.
