• His obituary was published in the Bosworth Sentinel and Republican Record on 10 May 1935 in Bosworth, MO.

Isaac Lightfoot was born in the state of Indiana, March 17, 1848. Departed this life on a farm northwest of Bosworth, Mo. May 3, 1935 at the age of 87 years 1 month 16 days.

When a young boy about 20 years old, he came to Missouri to make his home, and here he resided the remainder of his life.

On April 23, 1876, he was united in marriage to Miss Emma Jane Peck, and to this union seven children were born, all surviving. The are: Mrs. Charles Hughes of Mt. Vernon, Washington; Jacob Lightfoot of DeWitt, Mo.; Levi Lightfoot of Miamia Station, Mo.; Lucy Pennington of Bosworth, Mo.; Leander Lightfoot of Wakenda, Mo.; King Lightfoot of Bosworth, Mo.; and Mrs. Lydia J. Young of Hayes Center, Nebraska.

Besides the children mentioned above, he is survived by his wife, 33 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Lightfoot was a good man and was highly respected by everyone. He will be remembered by the good deeds he has done and the sacrifices made in order that others might be happier and more comfortable.

The funeral services were held at the Hurricane Church Sunday by Rev. H. A. Rolf of Tina. Interment at Hurricane Cemetery.
