Harold was first married to Louise <?> in about 1939. They appeared together in the 1940 US Census living in Carrollton, MO where they were both employed as Salespeople in some sort of retail product in which the handwriting on the census form appears to read as "aluminum". This could have meant that they were selling aluminum pots and pans.
That first marriage must not have lasted long because by 1944 he was remarried to Velma Darlene Weese.

Marriage Notes:
Their first daughter, Lana, was born in 1945 in Atchinson, Kansas. Their first son, Loyal, was born in 1947 also in Kansas. By 1949 they had moved to Oregon where their second daughter, Lizbeth, was born in 1949. The 1950 US Census shows the family living in Salem, Marion, Oregon.
By 1971, Harold had moved to Riverside County in Southern California where he died in 1971 at the age of 53. His body was returned to Missouri and he was buried in Pleasant Park Cemetery in De Witt, Missouri where his paternal grandparents are also buried. His 2nd wife, Velma, lived until 2010 where she died outside of Chicago. I do not know if she remarried or not.
