 General Notes:
Gwendolyn's mother died sometime between her birth in 1903 and the 1910 census in which her father was noted as widowed. Two years later her father had remarried and soon fathered 3 additional children with his new wife. I am unable to locate the 1920 and 1930 census for her father so I am not sure if she remained with her father or was sent to her maternal grandparents following the death of her mother. In 1927 she was still in Chicago married to a Mark English but is not found in the 1930 or 1940 census records.
